VOICE OF BOW STAFF: Do you enjoy Nursing Care job?

BOW will interview the feelings of a foreign employee currently working as a nursing caregiver at a nursing home.
She is currently a nursing caregiver and is supported by BOW with visa procedures, work, life, etc. during her time working here.

① What makes you enjoy your work?

There are many careers in life that give us rich experiences, but for me personally, nursing care always brings something unique and interesting: the ability to help people. Every day at work, I realize that my job is not simply to take care of users' health but also to bring them joy and comfort in every moment of their lives.

The interesting thing about nursing care is that I learn a lot from the users. They are people who have gone through great challenges in life, and each of their stories is a valuable lesson.

② How do you deal with problems at work?

It is inevitable to encounter difficulties at work. Challenges can come from many different sources, such as time pressure, large workloads, or misunderstandings in communication. Instead of facing those difficulties alone, I always believe in the power of communication and cooperation with colleagues and stakeholders. This is not only a way to reduce personal burden, but also an effective approach to finding the best solution to the problem at hand.

When I encounter difficulties, I usually start by clearly defining the problem. This helps me have an overview of the situation and identify who can contribute ideas or help in solving the problem. Then, I will contact colleagues to share the difficulties I am facing.

Besides communicating with colleagues, I also do not hesitate to contact my supervisors. They can provide valuable information or new perspectives that I hadn't thought of. Consulting with them helps me better understand the overall context of the problem and find more appropriate solutions.

③ Why did you choose this job?

I think nursing care is a very interesting and meaningful job. For me, nursing is not just a job, but also a noble mission. Nursing caregivers the ones who directly care for users, supporting them in their everyday lives. This field requires not only solid professional knowledge but also sensitivity, patience and love. When dealing with users, we need to listen and understand their needs.
