■ Requirements for acquiring Specified Skilled Worker No.2 in the Construction industry
Specified Skilled Worker No.2 in the Construction industry, you need:
① Pass the Specified Skilled Worker No.2 evaluation test <建設分野特定技能２号評価試験> or skilled test level 1 <技能検定１級>
② Gain a certain level of practical experience as a supervisor/instructor

(1) Implementing Entity
A corporation that is registered with the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism to accept specified skilled foreigners.
(2) Test language
It will be in Japanese. However, technical terms, etc. may also be written in other languages.
(3) Test level
The test level for Specified Skilled Worker No.2 Evaluation Test in the Construction Industry will be the same as the technical Skills test level 1. It will test the ability to engage in work and manage the process while instructing multiple technicians at a construction site.
(4) Exam subjects
The exam will consist of a written and practical exam, and the exam time and number of questions will be as follows.
・Academic exam: 60 minutes, 40 questions
・Practical exam: 40 minutes, 25 questions
(5) Implementation method
The skill test will be conducted through a practical test and a written test. All tests will be conducted using the computer-based testing (CBT) method*.
*Questions are asked and answered using a computer, and examinees answer on-screen based on the questions displayed on the computer screen.
(6) Criteria for pass/fail
The criteria for passing the written test and practical test are as follows.
・Academic exam: 75% of the total score is the passing standard.
・Practical exam: Passing standard is 75% of the total score.
(7) Method of notification of pass/fail
Approximately two weeks after the end of the exam, successful candidates will receive a result notification (name, date of birth, gender, nationality, photo, exam date, location, and result notification) on a dedicated page on the website.
